She was born in Manchester on November 22, 1930 to Denis and Virginia (Racette) Vigneault. She grew up in Manchester and raised her family in Bedford.
Doris worked as a private day care provider for most of her life. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church for many years and St. Joseph Cathedral for several years.
Always the caregiver, she had a strong Catholic faith and was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
She was married to George Beland who died in 1999.
The family includes ten children, Daniel Beland and his wife, Diane, of Bedford, Donald Beland and his wife, Debra, of Chichester, Annette LeBlanc and her husband, Roland, of Bow, Robert Beland and his wife, Haeran, of Concord, Raymond Beland of Fairbanks, AK, Roland Beland and his wife, Audrey, of Deerfield, Therese Manson and her husband, Christopher, of Bedford, Paul Beland and his wife, Suzanne, of Warren, Michelle Sousa and her husband, Richard, of Hillsborough and Joanne Bourque and her husband, Michael, of Manchester; 21 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two expectant great grandchildren; two sisters, Helene Ouellette of Manchester and Pauline Champagne and her husband, Richard, of Lilburn, GA; cousins and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Cathedral, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
