Doris A. Dube

April 12, 1937 — July 11, 2018

Doris (Labrie) Dube, 81, of Bedford, died on July 11, 2018, surrounded by her family in the comfort of her own home after a brief illness.

Doris' life can be summed up as a recipe, which is fitting due to how much she loved to cook and bake.

Recipe for a Good Life, Inspired by Doris. Start with a generous blend of love, laughter, and plenty of wine. Add family and friends and mix well. Stir in plenty of time with Sister, to go shopping, to watch cooking shows, and experiment with new recipes. Sprinkle with happiness (salt). Shape with hands perfectly manicured.

Doris loved to cook for all. She would bake and cook delicious meals for her husband, neighbors, friends and family.

She was born in Manchester on April 12, 1937, the daughter of Francois and Rita (Lambert) Labrie.

She was a crafted seamstress from the beginning of her teenage years and enjoyed making clothes for all her family. She worked at the Hosiery Mill, Manchester Knitted Fashions, George's Apparel, Kay Jewelers and Fabric Fix.

Members of her family include her husband of 63 wonderful years, Emile Dube, 84, of Bedford, NH; her three children, Carl Dube and his fiancée, Cathy Lewis-Lafrenier, of Gainesville, FL, Debra Cotnoir and her husband, Peter, of Auburn and David Dube and his wife, Claudette, of Manchester; her siblings, Frank, Maurice, Donald (deceased) and Armand (deceased) Labrie, Helen Baril (deceased), and Antoinette Ingram; her five grandchildren, Craig E. Dube, Cory E. Dube, Wesley P. Cotnoir, Justine A. Dube, and Michelle R. Dube; her five great-grandchildren, Owen Dube, Caiden Dube, Kyson Dube, Adalynn Dube, and Christopher Cotnoir; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
