Mrs. Doris (Desfosses) Duval, 92, of Manchester, NH passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 22, 2021. She was born September 3, 1929 to the late Joseph and Rosa (Michaud) Desfosses.
A lifelong resident of Manchester, Doris worked at Manchester Knitted Fashions and Hillsborough County Nursing Home retiring at the age of 74. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing cards and mini golf, telling funny stories and making people laugh. Most of all she loved time spent with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
She was a member of Parish of the Transfiguration and had a love for God, family, and people.
Family members include her children Donald Duval of Goffstown; Ceal (Duval) White of Manchester; George Duval and his wife Laura of Broadway, NC; David Duval and his wife Carla of Manchester; John Duval and his wife Barbara of Vacaville, CA; one son-in-law, Robert Ray of Derry; thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren as well as great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband George; daughter Denise Duval-Ray; grandson Kyle White; sister Cecile Lavallee; daughter-in-law Edith Duval; and son-in-law Dennis White.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Wednesday December 29th from 5 to 7 pm at Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Please wear a mask. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 30th at 10 am at Parish of the Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St., Manchester. Please wear a mask. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to a charity of one's choice.
