Doris L. Blanchette, age 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2021 with her daughters by her side after a period of declining health due to the loss of her husband, one year ago. She was born on September 16, 1949 to the late Henry and Lea (Lacerte)Labore. She attended Memorial High School and was a lifelong resident of Manchester. She worked as an assembler at General Electric for many years before tending and caring for her grandchildren at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Real Blanchette, of 52 years.
Doris had a big heart and was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed entertaining and gathering friends and family together to celebrate special occasions and holidays. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, baking and shopping. Due to her early loss of hearing she grew a passion for writing and making cards for loved ones. She looked forward to spending time at the beach, going for long drives to see the sites of New Hampshire and visiting with friends and family. She was known for her strong determination and wish to provide support for the needs of others. Above all she will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grammy, sister, aunt and friend. She had a smile so bright and a hug so strong, her sense of humor will be missed by all.
Surviving family members include her three daughters, Lisa Boule and husband Stephen of Goffstown NH, Carol Quinn and husband Scott of Fort Mill SC, and Christine Berthiaume and husband Jeffrey of Merrimack NH; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Kayla and Keegan Boule, Colin and Liam Quinn, and Julia and Reece Berthiaume; two siblings Larry with sister-in-law Lorraine Labore, Sr. Theresa Labore, CSC and several nieces and nephews She was predeceased by three siblings, Andre Labore, Paul Labore and Sr. Cecile Labore, CSC.
SERVICES: Visitation with masks and strict social distancing will take place from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Thur., April 8th, at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104. All other services will be private to family only.Doris will be interred with her husband, Real, in NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
