Doris Y. Marchand, 87, of Manchester died on October 21, 2018 in her home as she wished, surrounded by loved ones and family.
She was born in Manchester on January 19, 1931, to Henry and Lena (Raymond) Manseau, and a lifelong resident of the City.
Doris was a Stitcher in her career. She was a lifelong committed Parishioner of St. Anthony's Church. She was an excellent stitcher, a beautiful gardener, and a fantastic cook, known especially for her fresh baked donuts and whoopie pies. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife, and will be deeply missed.
She was predeceased by her son Richard "Curly" Marchand in 1975, beloved husband of 65 years Julien Marchard, before he passed away in 2015, and sister Rita Gagnon.
Family includes daughter Denise T. Marchand of Bedford; son Danny H. and his wife Patricia of Manchester; grandchildren Cody and Nathan Marchand, both of Manchester; close friends Diane Day of FL, and Michele Bouchard of Concord, MA; caretaker Cindy Hamilton of Bedford; and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the St. Anthony's Church, 172 Belmont St. Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mount Calvary Mausoleum.
