She was born in Hooksett on November 13, 1924 to August and Alice (Cote) Jacob. She lived in Manchester most of her life.
Doris worked at Dorson-Fleisher Shoe Company and Evangeline Shoe Company, both in Manchester for many years. She volunteered with the American Lung Association.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Armand Janelle in 1948.
The family includes two daughters, Darlene Boisvert and her husband, Yves, and Carmel Martineau and her husband, Gerard, all of Manchester; five grandchildren and many great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Jacob of Maryland; and nieces and nephews.
The burial was private and at the convenience of the family at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. A reception was held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Alpine Club, 175 Putnam St., Manchester.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
