Doris A. Benard Olivier

She was born in Manchester on December 20, 1935 the daughter of Emile and Marcella (Duhaime) Benard and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.

Doris was a graduate of St. Anthony School and received her Accounting, Business Management, and Secretarial degrees from Hesser College. She worked during retirement as a Sales Associate for JC Penney and prior to retirement worked in accounting for the Catholic Dioceses of Manchester. She also worked over a decade as bursar with Hesser College assisting countless students with financial aid.

Doris' life was centered not only around her own children, but all children. She taught CCD at St. Raphael's parish, volunteered with Southwest Little League as president of the Woman's auxiliary, and chaperoned at Sacred Heart Parish CYO. If you were ever looking for Doris, you would merely just need to look for the kids and there she was. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh and cook and will be remembered for "Memere's Soup" and two dollar bills given to all of her grandchildren at holidays and birthdays. She was "wonder woman" to those who knew her and would do anything for anyone, but above all else she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother with a smile and embrace for all.

She leaves her husband of 17 years, Richard R. Olivier of Manchester; three daughters, Patricia A. Bell and husband Kevin of Swanzey, Lisa R. Vattes and husband David of St. Louis, MO, and Annette T. Smith and husband Greg of Manchester; three sons, Maurice R. Belanger and wife Sandra of Manchester, Daniel M. Belanger of Manchester, and Laurent P. Belanger and wife Catherine of Hudson; step daughter Richelle R. Bernardi and husband Anthony; three step sons, Joseph R. Olivier and wife Brenda of Hooksett, Raymond J. Olivier and wife Karen, and O. Daniel Olivier of Pembroke; thirteen grandchildren, Benjamin, Jason, Amy, Nathan, Ryan, Eric, Joel, Scott, Taylor, Kayla, Chelsea, Courtney and Joshua; four great grandchildren, Connor, Ashlyn, Hailey and Jude; two sisters, Pauline Poulin of FL and Madeline Tessier and husband Lionel of FL; two brothers, Paul Benard and wife Betty of Manchester and Gerry Benard and wife Janet of NC; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband Maurice G. Belanger, sister, Ruth French and step son Michael R. Olivier.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 172 Belmont St. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd.
