Doris I. Stacy, 85, of Bedford, formerly of Candia, died April 26, 2018 at her residence where she spent her last days surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Cambridge, MA on June 5, 1932, she was the daughter of John B. and Blanche (Cyr) Gagnon. She graduated from Manchester Central High School.
Prior to retirement in 1995, she was employed by New England Telephone/Nynex for many years.
Doris was a longtime member of the Queen City Promenaders Square Dance Club and had traveled extensively with her husband and children. She loved scrapbooking and keeping family experiences alive in albums and videos. She will be remembered for her loving dedication to family and friends.
She was a communicant of St. Peter Church in Auburn and had previously been a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Manchester.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Ronald W. Stacy, Sr in 2016.
Family members include her children, Deborah Miville and husband Marc, Ronald W. Stacy Jr, Lawrence Stacy and wife Sylvia, Cynthia Stacy-Sevigny and husband Gene, Pamela Nadeau and husband John, Thomas Stacy and wife Leslie; her grandchildren, Ryan Stacy and wife Rebecca, Matthew Stacy, Laura Sevigny and husband Cyrille Martin, Cassandra LaRochelle and husband Brian, Sara Hoisington and husband Tyler, Emily Miville, Alec Nadeau and wife Haley, Austin Nadeau, Alexia Velasquez, Elise Stacy, and Sophia Velasquez; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Hoisington and Miles Nadeau; her sister, Jeannette St. Laurent and husband Paul. She also leaves behind several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, April 30, 2018 in St. Peter Church, Manchester Road, Auburn. Urn burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
