Born in Manchester, NH on January 29, 1921, she was the daughter of Napoleon R. and Ella M. (Caron) LaPointe. She had lived in Manchester for most of her life, having graduated from West High School in 1939. After residing in Manchester for 80 years, she moved to Alabama to be close to her daughter.
Mrs. Barter was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose first and greatest love was always her family. She was a woman of unwavering faith and firm conviction.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 36 years, Edward C. Barter.
Family members include two children, Mr. Richard E. Barter and wife Janet of Plantation, FL and Dr. Carol A. Doucet and husband Richard of Wetumpka, AL; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law; nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St. Manchester. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
