Dorothy E. Blondin

Dorothy E. (Reilly) Blondin, 89, of Manchester, died April 23, 2016 at Catholic Medical Center, with her family by her side, after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on June 15, 1926 to John J. and Marguerite (Farmer) Reilly Sr. She was a graduate of Manchester High School Central and Nasson College and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Dorothy worked as a school teacher for several years before a career as a full time homemaker. She was a member of the Manchester Woman's Club and was an active communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Manchester for many years. She enjoyed knitting, traveling, cooking and was also an avid Red Sox fan.
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Francis N. Blondin in 2007 and a brother, John J. Reilly Jr.
The family includes three children, Laurie Perdue of Millbrae, CA, Deborah Blondin of Bedford and Dr. Brian Blondin of Andover, MA; two grandchildren, Tony Perdue and Kaylee Coutu; two great grandchildren, Jameson Perdue and Alex Reyes; cousins and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, April 29, 2016 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
