Dorothy J. Ege, 82, of Manchester died March 1, 2021 after a period of declining health.
Born in Bridgeport, CT on December 17, 1938, she was the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Kovac) Varney.
Prior to retirement, she had worked as the receptionist for her husband's Battery Powered Lighting Company for many years. Previously, she had worked at Dorson Fleischer Shoe and Carol Cable.
Dorothy enjoyed traveling to new places, spending time with family and quiet evenings with her husband.
Family members include her husband of 58 years, Raymond Ege of Manchester; her daughter, Deb Schimmel and husband Jeff of Virginia; her son, Russell Ege and wife Tracy of Manchester; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
