Dorothy F. Gagnon

Dorothy "Dot" Fernande Gagnon, 85, of Manchester, died August 8, 2013 after a period of declining health.

She was born in Manchester on December 10, 1927, the daughter of Emmanuel and Dora (Cayer) Martel. She was educated in the local school system.

Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a printer by McGraw-Edison Co. for many years.

She was a longtime communicant of St. Augustin Parish and a member of the church's St. Anne Sodality. Before her illness she was a member of St. Pius X Parish.

Dorothy will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who cherished time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband Maurice A. Gagnon in 2003.

Family members include seven children, Maurice A. Gagnon Jr. and companion Diva of MA, Michael J. Gagnon and wife Linda of CA, Diane E. Monnelly and husband Mark of Manchester, Denise J. LaPlante and husband Don of Hooksett, Donna Marie Barton and husband Jim of Manchester, Mark R. Gagnon and wife Mary Jane of Hooksett, Debra L. Gingras and husband Don of Manchester; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Iworski and Vivian Martineau, both of Manchester; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, August 12, 2013 in St. Pius X Church. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech St.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Monastery of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge St, Manchester, NH 03104.
