Dorothy A. (Mitchell) Gagnon, 79, of Candia, died February 8, 2020 at her home after a long period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on May 26, 1940 to Les and Ethel (Moffette) Mitchell. She graduated from Central High School and lived in Candia for most of her life.
Dorothy worked at New Hampshire Fire Insurance Company and Raytheon, both in Manchester for many years.
She was a communicant of the former St. Paul Church in Candia. She also enjoyed crafts, bowling and camping and will be remembered as a beautiful and giving lady.
She was predeceased by four siblings, Francis Mitchell, Roger Mitchell, Dale Mitchell and Helen Stanford.
The family includes her husband, Donald F. Gagnon of Candia; two sons, Alan Gagnon and life partner, Patty Murray, of Roscommon, MI and Mark Gagnon; a grandson, Joey Tuey and wife, Jennifer, of Manchester; two great grandchildren, Trinity and Aiden; six siblings, Patricia Mitchell of Candia, Lillian Gilbert of Derry, Robert Mitchell of Franklin, Durena McCormick of Georgia and Arlene Plourde and Donald Mitchell both of Manchester; many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Church 567 Manchester Rd., Auburn.
