Dorothy M. Gamache

Dorothy Mary (Bussiere) Gamache, 84, of Manchester, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at the Community Hospice House after a lengthy illness.

She was born November 30, 1922 in the Pinardville section of Goffstown, NH. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Mehegan) Bussiere.

Because of her love of senior education, she joined several programs such as: LINEC at New England College, Rivier College, Learning Continuim of Southern NH University and OLLI of Granite State College. She loved music, Broadway, stage and belonged to local entertainment groups such as the Knights of Columbus, Hooksett Women's Club, CMC, Sprague Electric and the Hooksett Entertainers.

She retired after a long career with AT&T. She was a member of the Manchester Historic Association, the Red Hat Society of Manchester, the Community Concert Series, and the Save the Valley St. Cemetery Association.

She was the widow of Ronald Gamache who died in 1988. They shared 34 years of marriage.

In her life: Members of her family include two daughters, Valerie Gamache and her husband Tony Janetos and their children Peter and Anna Janetos, and daughter Lisa Gamache Brideau and husband Mark Brideau and their children Michael and David Brideau. Survivors also include a brother, William Bussiere and wife Patricia, and a sister Irene (Bussiere) Griffin and husband Daniel Griffin and their children Matthew Griffin and Elizabeth (Griffin) Louis.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday March 12, 2007 in St. Patrick Church, 138 Coolidge Ave. Burial was in St Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, at the convenience of the family.
