Dorothy M. Pooler, 74, of Candia, NH, died December 17, 2017 at Elliot Hospital after a period of declining health.
She was born on September 26, 1943, the daughter of Fredrick and Alice (Dashnaw) Boshane, of Watertown, NY. Dorothy was raised in Watertown, NY and worked at Car-Freshner Corp. for 32 years, before retiring in 2010. Shortly thereafter she moved to Candia, NH to be closer to her family.
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and made so many afghans, scarves and baby doll clothes for all that she knew. She loved to gamble. Any opportunity to go to the casino and she had her hair done in ten minutes! Our family pets had become her very own; they ran circles around her feet when it was their dinner time, and rarely did Loki eat without her by his side. She adored her Car-Freshner family, where she was known as "mother". She WAS one of a kind. She adored and lived for her family who fondly called her "Gram". Above all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Family includes one daughter, Debra Deslongchamps and husband Kevin of Candia; two granddaughters, Melissa Burrows and fiancé Robin Lirette of Manchester, and Danielle Deslongchamps of Wolfeboro; one great granddaughter, Adyson Deslongchamps of Candia; two sisters, Eleanor Adams, and Roselie Bennett both of Watertown, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
