Dorothy A. (Roy) Sprague, 91, of Manchester, died November 24, 2015 at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manchester on October 18, 1924 to William and Rose (Katham) Roy. She was educated in Manchester and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Dorothy enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, playing cards, and arts & crafts. She was an extremely devoted mother and wonderful cook. She was loved not only by her children, but by all who had the pleasure of ever knowing her. Above all, she will be remembered as a very loving and caring mother and grandmother.
The family includes her seven children, Irene Watts, Pauline Scobie, Patricia Gola, Susan Denning, Cheryl Damalas, Robert Martel, and Michael Sprague all of Manchester; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Laurent and Henry Roy.
Services: Calling hours are Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral. Committal prayers will follow in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
