Douglas F. Field, 70, a longtime resident of Manchester, died October 1, 2023 after a sudden illness.
Born in Keene, NH on November 19, 1952, he was the son of Charles F. and Mabel E. (Tripp) Field. He graduated from Merrimack High School as a member of the class of 1970.
Prior to retirement, Doug was employed with Yellow Freight for over 30 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Doug was an avid cyclist, logging over 1,000 miles this year. He also enjoyed classic cars and spending time outdoors. More than anything else, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father.
Family members include his wife of 48 years, Anna (Wyman) Field of Manchester; two sons, Jason Field, wife Susan and their children Emily and Ian of Auburn, Matthew Field, wife Anita and their children Alexandra and Maddison of Hookett; his mother, Mabel “Betty” Field of Merrimack; his sister, Carol Baker and husband Robert of Merrimack and his brother, Vaughn Field of Kansas.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, October 7th from 3 to 5 pm followed by a service at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester.
