William Charles Siroty, 75, of Manchester NH, died on July 24th, 2026. He was born on June 9th, 1951, the son of Daniel H. and Eileen (Gusman) Siroty. A graduate of Oceanside NY High School, he received his BS from Stony Brook University, and MD at Georgetown University. Most recently, he was Chief of Medicine at the Manchester NH VA Medical Center. He was a 20 year board member of ACLU of New Hampshire, a Bill Bradley delegate to the 2000 Democratic National Convention, and a Howard Dean delegate to the 2004 Democratic National Convention. In 1975, he was a co-founder of Gay People in Medicine, the first national LGBTQ physician advocacy group.
Siroty is survived by his husband, Bill Stelling, sister Susan Siroty Myers, brother Jeffrey Siroty, and nieces Erin Myers, Alexis Myers, and Raina Siroty.
A celebration of his life will be held at Temple Adath Yeshurun in Manchester NH on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in his memory to the ACLU of New Hampshire.
