Edgar E. Larochelle, 85, of Manchester, died March 11, 2017 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a period of failing health.
He was born in Manchester March 26, 1931 the son of Aurelius and Emerilda (McMullen) Larochelle and was a lifelong resident.
Edgar retired from Velcro USA where he had worked for many years.
He served in the 39th National Guard Army Band.
He was a communicant of Parish of the Transfiguration where he volunteered in numerous activities. He also served as a collector and cross bearer.
He enjoyed music and played the trumpet and piano. He especially loved spending time with family.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Simone (Fortier) Larochelle of Manchester; three children, Ronald Larochelle and wife Jocelyn of Edgewater, FL, Mitch Larochelle and wife Jacqueline of New Boston, NH, and Doreen Calzini and husband Steven of Manchester; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; two siblings, Roland Larochelle and wife Anita of Daytona, FL and Jeannette Connolly of Manchester; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelly St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
