      Edith P. (Laflamme) Soucy, 80, of Manchester, died January 9, 2024 at her home after a brief illness.

   She was born in Manchester on June 18, 1943 to Aimee and Alice (Duperron) Laflamme. She lived in and around Manchester for most of her life and in Dunbarton for 20 years, residing the last five years of her life among a close community at Regency West in Manchester.

   Edith spent much of her life dedicated to her husband, her family and her friends, bringing warmth and positivity to those around her through her passion for those she loved and her amazing cooking, particularly her baked goods. She and her husband Ron recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary surrounded by the loving family they built together.  In addition to caring for her family, she had worked as a certified pharmacy technician at Unicare, Walgreen’s and Elliot Hospital.  

   She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Linda Soucy and four siblings, Ruth Spelas, Sr. Edith (Fernande) Laflamme, Raymond A. Laflamme and Gloria Gustafson.

   Edith is survived by her husband, Ronald O. Soucy of Manchester; three children, Marc P. Soucy of Manchester, Michael R. Soucy and his wife, Christine, of Dunbarton and Marlene C. Montminy and her husband, Robert, of Candia; four grandchildren, Erika Umali of Boston, Morgyn Boynton and her husband, John, of Warner, Emma Ryder and her husband, Clarke, of Merrimack and William Soucy of Dover; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Levi; two sisters, Pauline Pearsall of Hooksett and Beatrice Weiss of New York; two brothers-in-law, Richard Soucy and his wife, Claire, Paul Soucy and his wife, Linda; a sister-in-law, Janet Case and her husband, Robert; a brother-in-law, Alfred Gustafson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

   SERVICES: There are no calling hours.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (1/17) at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, 267 Webster St., Manchester.  Committal prayers will follow immediately at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.

   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Home Health and Hospice Services, 1070 Holt Ave., Suite 1400, Manchester, NH 03109.

   Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
