Edmond J. "Ed" Fradette, born on November 22, 1926, died peacefully in the loving arms of his daughter, surrounded by his family, on August 6, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester, NH.
Ed was predeceased by his childhood sweetheart, Therese Robenhymer Fradette of Esmond, RI, to whom he had been married to for 64 years. Ed was a dedicated family man and is survived by his five children, Pat Branscombe, Denise Carter, Richard Fradette, Judith Abbe, Susan Mitchell, and their spouses; 12 grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
Ed is a World War II veteran who served in the Navy. He fulfilled the duties of a firefighter, for the city of Manchester, for 32 years. Ed earned his way to Deputy Chief of the Manchester Fire Department from which he retired on July 1, 1984. Ed spent his winters with his loving wife in Barefoot Bay, Florida for 22 years. He is well-known for his piercing blue eyes, ready smile and friendly demeanor. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him well. We know he is happy now with his long awaited reunion with "Chiefy.!"
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Parish of Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St., Manchester. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
