Born in Manchester on July 11, 1928, he was the son of Edmund N. and Ida M. (Bergeron) Roy. He had resided in Manchester since 1951.
Prior to his retirement, Edmund had been employed for 31 years in the mail department of the New Hampshire Insurance Group.
He was a former member and lay reader at both Grace and St. Andrew's Episcopal Churches. He was a longtime member and former chaplain of the Washington Lodge and also a former marshall of the Ruth Chapter O.E.S. and a member of the York Rite.
Edmund will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and greatly enjoyed classic cars, especially a prized 1932 Ford.
He was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy (O'Connor) Roy in 1976.
He is survived by many cousins and his longtime companion Jon Watkins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Urn burial will be at a later date.
