Edward G. Biron

Edward G. Biron, 91, of Manchester died April 15, 2011 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born in Hooksett on November 15, 1919 to Donat and Ida (Desfosses) Biron. He lived in Manchester for most of his life.

During World II he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He later graduated from the Franklin Technical Institute in Boston.

Mr. Biron was the owner and operator of Biron's Service Station on the west side of Manchester for 50 years. He was a communicant of St. Catherine Church and a member of the Lions Club and United Commercial Travelers.

IN HIS LIFE: The family includes his wife of 63 years, Alice M. (Lauzon) Biron of Manchester; five children, Barbara B. Thinnes and her husband, Robert, of Hooksett, Janice B. Chapdelaine and her husband, Marc, of Wilmington, DE, Bruce E. Biron and his wife, Denise, of Hooksett, Susan R. Podawiltz and her husband, Thomas, of Franklin and Paul J. Biron and his wife, Nicole, of Choctaw, OK; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
