He proudly served his country from 1957 to 1960 as an Army specialist in the 526th Missile Battalion, stationed in Germany.

After returning from the Army, he married Linda Haynes (Stonner) and had two sons, Greg and David Brigham. They raised their children in NH, MD, and VT.

He earned his BA in Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 1974 and returned to NH where he and Linda owned and operated Brigham’s restaurant for several years. Ed then transitioned to selling commercial real estate, owning and operating S&B Business Brokerage.

Ed loved playing basketball and his teams consistently contended for state championships. Growing up, his dog Mickey was a Colebrook favorite and regularly walked him to and from school. Ed was extremely generous, had an incredibly kind heart, and loved animals. He loved family gatherings, gardening with his brother-in-law Freddie Stewart, trout fishing, supporting Colebrook basketball, and reading the Union Leader from cover to cover daily. He could regularly be found at Shirley-D’s restaurant, and made many friends anywhere he went.

Ed is survived by his two sons, Greg Brigham of Manchester, NH and David Brigham and his wife, Connie, of Bedford, NH; four grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife, Stephanie, Peter and his wife, Krystin, Thomas and Allison; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
