Edward H. Farrell, 96, of Manchester, died April 20, 2022 at Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Center after a brief period of declining health.
He was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on March 20, 1926 to Gordon and Winnifred (Eastwood) Farrell. He served in the Canadian Navy.
He lived in Clearwater, FL and Kingston, Ontario, Canada for many years before moving to Manchester 10 years ago.
Edward worked as an electronics engineer at Sperry Rand in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and at Cruising World in St. Petersburg, FL. In retirement, along with his wife, he RV'd throughout much of the United States. Together, they enjoyed line dancing at many of the stops along the way.
He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Olga (Thomas) Farrell in 2019 and by a son, Kenneth McMurray in 2001.
He is survived by two children, Robert McMurray and his wife, Michele, of Auburn, NH and Gail Steiner and her husband, Mark, of Ocala, FL; five granddaughters, Alyssa Casperson, Katherine McMurray, Kathryn Babb, Paige Ciruzzi and Alison Steiner; and a great granddaughter, Valerie Ciruzzi.
There are no services planned at this time. Private burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
