Edward J. D'Urso of Manchester, New Hampshire passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on June 6, 2017 after a long battle with heart failure.
Born in 1944 in Brooklyn, New York to Edward and Lillian D'Urso, the family later moved to Lawrence, Massachusetts. A graduate of Northeastern University, Edward continually challenged himself in a variety of industries including finance, construction, and recruitment. Edward lived with his family in Methuen, Massachusetts before becoming a 20 year resident of Hooksett, New Hampshire.
As a loving husband and father, Ed will be remembered most for his vivacious charm. He was always willing to help family and community members with construction projects. Ed loved his Boston sports teams and was an accomplished dart player. He was also a terrific cook who enjoyed preparing delicious meals while hosting holiday gatherings and family celebrations.
Edward is survived by his wife Beatrice Slavin of Manchester, daughter Jenifer D'Urso of Hooksett, 5 step-children - Ben Slavin of Cupertino, California, Rebecca Trotta (Slavin) of Manchester, Abigail Slavin of Manchester, Molly Slavin of Las Vegas, Nevada, Hannah Paterson (Slavin) of Portsmouth, as well as 1 granddaughter, brother Tom D'Urso of Las Vegas, Nevada, godmother Josephine Benigno of Methuen, Massachusetts, and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Steve D'Urso of Boxborough, Massachusetts.
A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
