Edward T. Lahey, 67, of Weare, died January 30, 2015 at Concord Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Methuen, MA on April 4, 1947 to Edward and Yvonne (Turcotte) Lahey. He grew up in Methuen and lived in Marceline, MO for 21 years before moving to Weare many years ago.

He served in the U.S Army as a paramedic from 1964 to 1970.

Edward worked as a respiratory therapist for many years. In Marceline, he owned Pulmonary Management Services. He later worked at New England Home Therapies in Concord, Home Medical Equipment in Manchester and Infusion Solutions Bioscript in Bedford.

He was a member of the American Association of Respiratory Care, the National Board of Respiratory Care and the American Legion.

Edward enjoyed softball and had coached and umpired in Marceline at the Pony League, Little League and Pee Wee League levels. He also enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Shannon Nicole; a sister, Sharon Holland and a brother, Thomas Lahey.

The family includes his wife of 43 years, Priscilla M. (Belleville) Lahey of Weare; three daughters, Tricia Smithhisler and her husband, Jaimie, and Melissa Florine and her husband, Aaron, all of Marceline, MO and Jennifer Murphy and her husband, Thomas, of Springfield, MO; 10 grandchildren, Kaleb, Nate, McKenna, Marissa, Ashlyn, Ariel, Zane, Lauren, Emmy and Mya; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at St. Lawrence Church in Goffstown. Burial will be in Marceline, MO at the convenience of the family.
