Edward J. Poulin

Edward J. Poulin, 92, of Manchester, died May 7, 2016 at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on June 27, 1923 to Napoleon and Dora (Gardner) Poulin. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
During World War II he proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was honorably discharged as an Aviation Machinist's Mate 2nd Class. During this time he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
Eddie worked as a master bricklayer for the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers, Local 3 for 40 years. He was a perfectionist who took pride in his work. Many buildings he worked on, and fireplaces he designed, are still standing today. In retirement, he was a security guard at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home for 10 years.
He was a member of Jutras Post 43, VFW Franklin Post, DAV and Mont Royal Club.
He was an avid pool player and cribbage pro and enjoyed fishing with Gordon Ridge and barbequing their catch on the fireplace.
Eddie will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He lit up whenever he was around his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family includes his wife of 70 years, Lovy (LePage) Poulin; children, Susan Champagne, Kenneth Poulin and partner, Dolly Bemis and Gail Duckless; grandchildren, Beth Champagne, Amy (Champagne) Winters and husband, JJ, Jeff Duckless and wife, Kim, Jason Duckless, Jon Duckless and Scott Poulin and wife, MacKenzie; great grandchildren, Colin Duckless, Emily Winters, Caleb Duckless, Laney Lou Poulin and Natalie Winters; brother, Norman Poulin and wife, Della; Godchildren, Donnie Pinard, Macy (Poulin) Monaghan and Tom Poulin; many brothers in law and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. After cremation, interment will be at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at the convenience of the family.
