She was born in Manchester on September 27, 1922, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Donnelly) Doherty. She attended McDonald Grammar School and graduated from Manchester High School Central class of 1940.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed by Summit Packaging. Previously, she had worked at Sweetheart Plastics and also J.F. McElwain Shoe Company.
Eileen loved to camp and spend time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Charrette in 2001.
Family members include her daughter, Sandra Bernard of Goffstown; two sons, Richard Charrette and his wife Judy of Allenstown, Ken Charrette and his wife Susan of Manchester; her grandchildren, David and Scott Charrette, Stacey Doyon, Marlene and Debra Bernard; 7 great-grand and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by her brother George Doherty, two sisters Rita Bourden and Mary Provencher, a grandson Robert Bernard Jr., a great-grandchild Brandi Bernard, and son-in-law Robert Bernard Sr.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, February 4, 2011 in Sacred Heart Church. Burial followed in the new St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
