Elaine B. Gagnon

Elaine B. (Murphy) Gagnon, 57, of Bedford, NH died December 28, 2004 at her residence after a long illness.

She was born in Lowell, MA on October 10, 1947, the daughter of George W. and Constance (Guimond) Murphy. She attended Dracut High School and was a graduate of Essex Community College.

Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by Macy's Department Store for 25 years.

She loved gardening, hiking, canoeing, and mountain biking. She was also a member of the Amoskeag Quilting Guild.

Her husband Donald P. Gagnon died in 2000.

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford.

Members of her family include a daughter, Mrs. Nicholas (Karen) Hinsley of Bedford; 2 sons, David P. Gagnon and his wife Kimberly (Russell) Gagnon of New Gloucester, ME and Michael T. Gagnon of Newmarket, NH; one grandson; 3 brothers, George Murphy of New Jersey, Peter Murphy of Dracut, and Thomas Murphy of Dracut; 3 sisters, Katherine Burgess of Dracut, Joan Psoinos of Tewksbury, and Geraldine Murphy-Deveau of Salem, NH;

A memorial mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday January 4, 2005 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford. Burial was private.
