Elaine Tickler

Elaine "Simard" Tickler, 68, of Manchester, passed suddenly on Sunday, March 30, 2025. She was born in Manchester on August 26, 1956 to the late Lionel and Irene (Paquette) Simard. 

Elaine devoted her life to the barber profession and owned and operated Elaine's Barber Shop for more than 20 years and back in the day, she was also part of Bishop's Lady Barbers. When not at the shop, she enjoyed trips to Aruba, time with her family: kids and grandkids and any day at the beach. Her home away from home was Seven Gables at Hampton Beach, aka the "beach cottage", which she has owned for over 40 years. She loved holidays and any opportunity to celebrate; considered the hostess with the mostest. 

Elaine is survived by her beloved husband: William "Bill" Tickler Jr.; her two children: Sarah Montplaisir and her husband Jeffrey and Michael Grenier; her step-daughter: Amanda Blynn and her husband Bryce; her brother: Robert Simard and his wife Claire; two grandchildren: Madeleine and Maximilian Blynn; one goddaughter: Robyn Malenfant; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elaine is predeceased by her brother: Richard Simard. 

SERVICES: Calling hours are from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St. in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont St. in Manchester. Please meet directly at the church. Committal Prayers to follow in the Mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.
