Eleanor Smith Kelly, 98, died on May 3, 2025, after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester, NH, June 7, 1926, to the late Harold Washington Smith and Margaret Corkum. She attended local schools, graduating from Manchester High School Central and attended classes at The New Hampshire Institute of Art.
Eleanor was an accomplished portrait colorist and award-winning photography professional having owned Frank Kelly Studios in Manchester with her husband, Frank, for over 49 years.
Throughout her life her close circle of friends, affectionately known as the “Sewing Club” were near and dear to her heart.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Frank Anthony Kelly; sons-in-laws Phil Atwood, David Dery and Joseph Gula. She is survived by her four daughters, Barbara Atwood of Keene, Sandra Dery of Rochester Hills, Mich., Kate Kelly of Manchester and Lisa Kelly Ouellette of New Fairfield, Conn.; and many much loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on 5/08/2025 12-2pm followed by a brief service at First Congregational Church located on 508 Union St. Manchester, NH 03104. There will be a private burial at a future date.
