Elizabeth Eileen (Scott) Bean, 83, of Manchester died October17, 2009 at Maple Leaf Healthcare Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in Barre, VT on January 31, 1926, and was the daughter of James and Maude (Urban) Scott. She lived in Manchester for most of her life at 618 Beech Street.
She enjoyed working in her garden, tending to her flowers and vegetables. She also enjoyed wallpapering, crocheting, knitting and she typically gave it all away.
Elizabeth earned her high school diploma at the age of 66.
IN HER LIFE: Family members include her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles Bean of Manchester; a daughter, Beverly Bean of Manchester; two grandchildren, Virginia Lorenze and Rebecca Bean, and two great grandchildren, Daniel and Nicholas Lorenze; two sisters, Marjorie Hill, Bernice Allen; two brothers, Maurice Scott and Bernard Scott; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a son, William Bean in 2009; three sisters, Maude McHugh, Virginia French, Hazel Scott; and five brothers, James Scott, Frances Scott, William Scott, Richard Scott and Wilfred Scott.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St, Manchester. Burial was in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery Boscawen at a later date.
