Elizabeth "Betty" McKowen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth "Betty" Junge McKowen on April 9, 2022 following a few years of declining health.
Born on May 4, 1939, she was the daughter of George and Alberta (Auge) Junge.
Betty enjoyed her many years of teaching. She retired in 1999 from Manchester Central High School after teaching for 35 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Rantz and her husband Norman of Portsmouth, NH and Boca Raton, FL; grandsons, Peter of Henderson, NV and Stephen of Boca Raton, FL; her brother, Peter Junge of Irvington, NY; nephews, Matthew Junge of Flushing, NY and Eric Junge of San Diego, CA; many dear friends.
There are no public calling hours. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14th at 10 am in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester. A funeral Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in the chapel at St. Joseph Cathedral, Manchester, will be scheduled and announced in May. Burial will follow the funeral Mass in her family's lot in Lakeview Cemetery, Newbury, NH.
Donations may be made in Betty's memory to the NH Food Bank, 700 E. Industrial Park Dr, Manchester, NH 03109.
