She was born in Manchester,NH on August 10, 1922 the daughter of Joseph and Justina (Desuza) Silva.
She had been employed as an inspector at Scoville Products for a number of years before retiring to raise her family in Manchester with her husband Ralph who predeceased her in 1999.
Emily lived a full life receiving much happiness from her family and many friends. She particularly enjoyed shopping, singing, music, playing the piano and especially family gatherings.
Emily enriched the lives of all that knew her and she continues to live in our hearts and memories.
She was predeceased by a son Randy; a brother Pvt William Silva, USMC - WW II and two sisters Beatrice Ford and Emma Roy.
She leaves three loving children,Sheila Tsoumbanos and her husband John, Thomas Brooks and his wife Linda and Carl Brooks and his wife Tammy; a brother Fernando Silva and his wife Thora; two sisters Dee Silva and Ezelina "Izzy" Johns and her husband Ralph; three grandchildren Shawn Gosselin, Ryan Brooks and Jessica Blue; four great grandchildren Mckenna, Piper, Sawyer, Deacon, beloved nieces and nephews and her dog Joey.
Emily was a lifelong parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church.
The family would like to thank the staff and her many friends at Ridgewood for the excellent care she received .
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, October 17, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford at the convenience of the family.
