Emily A. Menczywor

February 11, 1926 — August 2, 2022

Manchester, NH

Emily A. (Skora) Menczywor, 96, of Manchester, passed away on August 2, 2022.

She was born in Manchester on February 11, 1926, to Andrzej and Antonina (Jajesnica) Skora. She was the youngest of seven children, including Stanley, Joseph, Walter, Theodore “Teddy”, John and JoAnn. All predeceased her.

She was married to Frank J. Menczywor for 49 years, before his passing in 2001.

Emily attended local schools and worked at Amoskeag Fabrics, Modutec Electronics, and Alexander’s Supermarket.

She was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a lifetime communicant of St. Hedwig Church in Manchester. She was a hardworking woman who loved gardening in her flower and vegetable gardens and loved canning the bounty of crops with the help of her husband, Frank.

Emily enjoyed playing bingo. She loved singing Polish Christmas Carols and Easter songs and watching EWTN, especially with her grandson, Daniel, who brought her the Holy Eucharist every week, which she always looked forward to.  She loved taking weekly drives to the beach in the summer and winter to get seaweed for the gardens, trips to LaSalette Shrine in Enfield to see the Christmas lights and to Andrzej’s Polish Kitchen in Vermont. She especially adored the company of her great-grandchildren who brought her great joy and happiness.

Emily is survived by her children, John Menczywor and his wife, Denise, of Goffstown and Stanley Menczywor, Mary (Menczywor) Radlinski and Patricia Bouchard and her husband, Alan, all of Manchester; her grandchildren, Denis Menczywor of Derry, Melissa Audette and her husband, Ryder, of Raymond, Daniel Radlinski and Valerie Tetrault and her husband, Douglas, all of Manchester and Kristen Smith and her husband, Loren, of Allenstown; her great-grandchildren, Moriah and Jeremiah Audette, Naomi and Hannah Menczywor, Charlotte and Amelia Tetrault, and Iris Smith, with another great-grandchild on the way in October; and other nieces and nephews. Emily and family are especially grateful to her great-niece, Vickie Brown, for her weekly phone calls.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
