Emily M. (Tomaszewski) Soltysiak, 82, of Hooksett, passed away on August 10, 2015, at Elliot Hospital.

She was born in Londonderry on May 15, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Konieczna) Tomaszewski. She was a graduate of Manchester Central High School. She worked for the NH Labor Commission, General Electric, The Henley Group, and for Dr. R.F. Szopa.

Emily was very instrumental in co-chairing the Holiday Fair at Holy Trinity Cathedral. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and was an accomplished writer and poet. Her favorite times were spent singing with the Frederick Chopin Choir where she served as president for over 25 years. Emily was very dedicated to the activities of Holy Trinity Cathedral.

She was predeceased by her husband, Henry S. Soltysiak, son of the late Bishop Joseph L. and Catherine Soltysiak.

Family members include two sons, Very Rev. Joseph H. Soltysiak and his wife Janice of Westfield, MA, and Stephen M. Soltysiak and his companion Katie of CA; four grandsons, Anthony, Rev. Jason, Andrew, and Nicholas Soltysiak; one great grandson, Aiden Soltysiak; her godchild, Nancy Hanagan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Emily was also predeceased by her sisters, Victoria, Stella, Ann and Genevieve; and her brother, John.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, August 14, 2015 in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, 166 Pearl St, Manchester. Burial followed in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Goffstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Frederick Chopin Choir or Holy Trinity Cathedral Restoration Fund, both at 166 Pearl St, Manchester, NH, 03104.
