Born in Manchester on March 1, 1935, she was the daughter of Benjamin G. and Anita (Trudel) Lambert. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
She worked as a registered nurse at Manchester area hospitals for many years. She also taught courses in nursing at the New Hampshire Technical College in Manchester for many years.
Mrs. Harrington-Tapsell earned a master's degree in social welfare. She later worked as a social worker in the area of child welfare and adoption for the state of New Hampshire for many years.
She enjoyed skiing, sailing and time spent with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Stephen B. Harrington in 1989.
The family includes her husband of 18 years, Gordon Tapsell of Manchester; three sons, Bruce Harrington of Francestown, Greg Harrington of New Zealand and David Harrington of Manchester; six grandchildren and cousins.
A memorial service was held Wednesday at August 29, 2007 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester.
