Ernest F. Fisk

Ernest F. Fisk, 84, of Manchester died August 20, 2008 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester on July 15, 1924, he was the son of Ernest C. and Mary A. (McKenna) Fisk. He graduated from Central High School in 1942 and lived in Manchester most of his life.

During World War II he served in the US Navy and was a plank owner of the USS Little Rock CL92.

Ernie worked as a compositor with the Union Leader Corporation for 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Kinnicum Fish and Game Club in Candia.

He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church for 52 years.

He was predeceased by his bride of 55 years, Helen (Quirk) Fisk in 2006

The family includes a brother, Bernard K. Fisk Sr. of Manchester; a sister, Catherine Bertogli of Amesbury, MA and cousins, nieces and nephews.

IN HIS LIFE: He was also predeceased by a sister, Theresa Keene and by two brothers, Paul Fisk and John Fisk.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, August 25, 2008 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers and burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
