Ernest F. Laramie, 87, of Nashua, died September 15, 2020 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a long illness.
He was born in Claremont on March 4, 1933 to Maurice and Antoinette (Beliveau) Laramie. He lived in Claremont for most of his life before moving to Nashua five years ago.
During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army.
Ernest worked at Cone-Blanchard Machine Company in Windsor, VT for many years. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Claremont. He enjoyed gardening and was the neighborhood handyman.
He was predeceased by his parents and five siblings.
The family includes his wife of 64 years, Beatrice M. (Lague) Laramie of Nashua; three children, Peter Laramie and his wife, Lynne, of Nashua, Simone Mata and her husband, David, of San Antonio, TX and Matthew R. Laramie of Iron Station, NC; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild; three siblings, Paul Laramie and his wife, Fern, of Grantham, Lorraine Slack and her husband, Harold, of Lebanon and Laura Hough and her husband, Sterling, of Londonderry; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 32 Pearl St., Claremont. Committal prayers will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Plains Road, Claremont.
