Ernest "Buddy" Tanguay, III

Ernest “Buddy” Tanguay, III, 68, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. He was born on April 10, 1958 in Manchester and was the son of the late Ernest A. Tanguay Jr. and Marie-Claire (Bedard) Tanguay.

Buddy was a proud veteran who served in the United States Coast Guard. He carried that same sense of strength, loyalty, and dedication throughout his life, always willing to lend a hand and stand by the people he loved. Known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and the way he made others feel welcome, Buddy will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Buddy worked at Hitchiner Manufacturing for over 20 years and then worked as an assistant manager at Walmart. His ideal day would be getting a diet coke from McDonalds, driving to the park and doing crossword puzzles. Buddy loved spending time with his family, especially his grand-dog, Dasie.

Buddy is survived by his three children: Kelly (Steve) Houde of Manchester, Amy Tanguay of Manchester, Emily Tanguay of Hill; four grandchildren: Zackary, Max, Cameron, Noah; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Buddy is predeceased by his son: Dominique R. Tanguay; and three sisters: Sr. Suzette Tanguay, Lucille Litalien, Judy Chase.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester from 5pm – 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 14 Elm St., Manchester at 10am. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Augustin Cemetery.
