Estelle Y. Desfosses

She was born in Sorel, PQ on February 1, 1917, the daughter of Hylas and Albertine (Boisvert) Yergeau. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Villa Augustina High School. She also attended Hesser Business College.

Prior to retirement, she had been a secretary for the Association Canado-Americaine for many years.

In retirement, Estelle had spent much of her time volunteering at the Elliot Hospital. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards with friends, and being active in the Villa Crest community.

She was a longtime communicant of St. Augustin Church and was a member of the parish's Saint Anne Sodality.

He husband Andre J. Desfosses died in 1987.

Family members include two daughters, Monique Shea and her husband James of Manchester and Claudia R. Desfosses of San Francisco; two grandsons, Brian Shea and his wife Amy of Chelmsford, MA and Kevin Shea and his wife Beth of Meredith, NH; two great-grandchildren, Kristen and Owen Shea of Chelmsford; her brother, Paul Yergeau and his wife Lillian of Manchester; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She was predeceased by one grandson Andrew H. Matsinger of San Francisco.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
