Esther Duffy

She was born in Manchester on July 20, 1933, the daughter of James and Emma (Friedrich) Poulos. She attended local schools and graduated from Manchester High School Central, class of 1951.

In her professional life, she was a secretary at Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. and later worked as a proof operator at BankEast.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years John Duffy of Auburn.

She is also survived by two sons, William J. Sandquist of Concord, OH, and Robert F. Sandquist and his wife Karen (Krebs) of Shelburne Falls, MA; one brother, Theophilos (Ted) Poulos and his wife Jean (Putnam) of Manchester; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There are no calling hours. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
