Eudoxia Georgopoulos Lazos, 89, of Manchester, died January 14, 2022, at the VNA Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Zouzouli, Greece on May 12, 1932, she was the daughter of Michael and Vangeli Georgopoulos. She and her husband, John (deceased 2017), migrated to Manchester in 1956 to provide better opportunities for their family. Prior to retirement, Eudoxia had worked at Waumbec and Pandora Mills for many years.
Eudoxia's greatest joy was cooking for and spending time with all of her extended family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Her bountiful garden and fruit trees made the family home a farm in the city.
Family members include her sons, Harry and his wife Marylou Ashooh Lazos of Derry, Nick (deceased 2019) and his wife Susan Ashooh Lazos of Manchester, and Stergios and his wife Laura Abrahamsen of Peterborough, NH. As mentioned, her greatest pride was her five grandchildren John Lazos and his wife Stanislava, Stephen Lazos and his wife Christina, Nikki Lazos Bullock and her husband Ben, Michael Lazos, and Grace Lazos; and her three great grandchildren, Victor, Ilya, and Cleo.
SERVICES: An hour of visitation is planned for Wednesday, January 19th from 10 to 11 a.m. in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover St., Manchester. The funeral service will follow immediately at 11 a.m. in the Cathedral. She will be laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
