Eugene Ernest Holley, 82, died June 11, 2021, at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI of Parkinson's Disease-related medical issues.
Eugene was born in Manchester, NH, to Ernest and Germaine Arlyne (Desilets) Holley of the West side. A life-long resident of Nashua and Bedford, he recently relocated to Dousman, Wisconsin due to declining health and to be closer to his grandchildren.
He attended Manchester schools, graduated from Bishop Bradley High School, and later went on to receive university degrees from Saint Anselm College, the University of Alaska at Fairbanks and Rivier University.
Eugene was employed as a technical writer for over forty years by Sanders Associates and its later owners Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems. After taking retirement, he involved himself in his beloved Franco-American heritage as a member of Le Club Richelieu de Manchester and the Franco-American Centre, and his ongoing volunteering at the Bedford Public Library.
Eugene was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Sylvia (Hunt) Holley of Manchester.
Family members include his two sons, Christopher Holley of Raleigh, NC, and Jonathan Holley of North Prairie, WI; daughter-in-law Sara Holley; four grandchildren, Nathaniel, Grace, Curtiss and Cosette Holley; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Lago of Punta Gorda, FL, and Suzanne Vargas of Laurel, DE; and Holley Family lifelong friend, Nancy Wellman of Lorton, VA.
SERVICES: Visiting hours will be Saturday, July 17, from 10 am to 11am at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St., Manchester NH 03104. A Catholic Interment Service will be celebrated immediately following the Visitation, at 11:30 am, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. Memorial donations may be made to the Franco-American Centre, 100 Saint Anselm Dr., Sullivan Arena, Manchester NH 03102-1310.
