Eugene A. Fitzgerald, Sr., 79, of Manchester, died April 9, 2016 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a long illness.
He was born in Springfield, MA on June 22, 1936 to Francis and Ruby (Roy) Fitzgerald. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from American International College in Springfield, MA.
Eugene retired from United Technologies-Hamilton Standard and then worked with his son at Amberwave Technologies and 4Power LLC in Salem.
He was a member of the Business & Industry Association, the American Society for Quality and the Knights of Columbus.
The family includes his wife of 57 years, Flore (Asselin) Fitzgerald of Manchester; two children, Anne Marie Pepe and her husband, Dr. Joseph Pepe, of Manchester and Dr. Eugene A. Fitzgerald Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Windham; three grandchildren, Dr. Joseph Pepe Jr. and his fiance, Meaghan Linnell, Danielle Fitzgerald and Patrick Fitzgerald; five siblings, Frank Fitzgerald and his wife, Nancy, and Faith Carosello all of Wilbraham, MA, John Fitzgerald and his wife, Kathy, of East Longmeadow, MA, Richard Fitzgerald and his wife, Bobbie, of Texas and Thomas Fitzgerald and his wife, Margaret, of Florida; and cousins and many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Services are private. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
