Eugene F. Hingston

Eugene F. Hingston Jr, 87, of Manchester died peacefully August 23, 2023 surrounded by his family.

            Born in Biddeford, ME on December 23, 1935, he was the son of Eugene F. and Catherine (Lane) Hingston Sr.  He served as a chaplain assistant in the US Army.

            Prior to retirement, he had been a guidance counselor at Nashua High School for 27 years. 

            Eugene will be remembered as a gentle, kind and caring man.  He was an ardent Boston Red Sox and Detroit Lions fan.  This past Father’s Day, his grandson Joey was proud to be able to bring his grandfather to the Red Sox versus NY Yankees at Fenway Park.  He cherished time spent with his family and with them recently traveled to Spain, France, Italy and Jamaica and in retirement enjoyed 19 years in the family camper at Silver Lake.  He was extremely proud of his grandchildren and great-grandsons.

            Family members include his wife of nearly 60 years, Anna (Sammataro) Hingston of Manchester; his daughter, Kathleen Paquette and husband Mark Millet of Manchester and their children, Joseph Paquette, Caitlyn Millet, AubreyLynn Goodale and Emily Millet; his son, John Hingston of Manchester and his children, Amy Hingston, Tori Hingston, Miley Hingston and DJ Hingston; great-grandchildren, Jack Eugene Paquette and Lucas Todd Goodale; several nieces, several cousins and many dear friends.

            A visiting hour at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Saturday, August 26^th from 10 am to 11 am, follow by a service in the funeral home chapel at 11 am.  Private burial with military honors will be in Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date.
