Eugenia H. Belanger

Eugenia Helen (Jenny) Belanger, 94, of Auburn, NH, died August 12, 2008 at a local health care facility.

She was born in Rockville, CT, on April 24, 1914, the daughter of Anthony and Helen (Nawracaj) Janton.

Prior to retirement in 1979, she had been employed as a secretary at Dorson Fleischer Shoe Company for many years.

She was a longtime active parishioner of St. Peter Church where she was a former lector and CCD teacher.

She enjoyed bowling and was a founding member of the Senior Bowling League in Auburn. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens of Auburn.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Rocco M. Salvatore Sr. and her son, Rocco M. Salvatore who died in 1998.

Members of her family include her husband of 38 years, Jean F. Belanger of Auburn; two daughters, Connie Smith of Edgewater, Florida and Helen Scarpello of Vernon, Connecticut; two step-daughters, Joanne C. Belanger of Manchester and Suzanne Belanger of Alaska; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Berzinski of Manchester, Connecticut; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Carol Salvatore of Oak Hill, Florida.

The funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at St. Peter Church, Auburn. Committal prayers followed in the chapel of Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
