She was born in Manchester on March 14, 1915, the daughter of Frederick and Leocadie (Lefebvre) Carignan.
She was a founder with Sister Rose Orland of a support group for Alzheimer's patients.
Eva had worked in various shoe factories prior to her retirement from Velcro USA in 1979.
She enjoyed making crafts, playing cards and cooking. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister who loved spending time with family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Remi Chouinard in 1986, and one daughter, Therese P. Chouinard Brown Lord.
Family members include a son, Robert P. Chouinard and wife Kathie of Plympton, MA; nine grandchildren, who were the light of her life; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister-in-law, Mary Carignan; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Webster St. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
