Evelyn “Judy” Crommett, 80, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother from Goffstown, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with dementia, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manchester, on January 12, 1945, to John Latsiou and Evelyn (Newell). She spent most of her life in Manchester, before relocating to Raymond to raise her family. She later moved to Goffstown with her husband of 25 years.
Evelyn’s greatest joy in life was her family, and her love for them was evident to everyone who knew her. She was the strong, unwavering foundation of her family, always putting them first with a heart full of devotion. Evelyn was known for her kindness, generosity, and selfless ways, always ready to lend a hand or share whatever she had. One of her most memorable acts of kindness occurred when she was out to eat, and a hostess complimented her on her jacket. Without a second thought, Evelyn took it off and told the hostess, “If it fits, it’s yours.” That was the kind of person she was—always giving, always thinking of others.
Before retiring in 2011, Evelyn spent 26 years working as a weaving technician at Velcro USA. In her free time, she enjoyed dining out, going to the movies, and watching NASCAR, baseball, and Lifetime movies; she was a passionate Yankees fan and a devoted animal lover. Evelyn found joy in life’s little pleasures, but above all, she cherished her family the most. Her love for them was unparalleled, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Damon; her children, Janice, Scott (and his wife, Lisa), Jodi, Donald, Michelle (and her husband, Dan); her three stepsons, Derrick (and his wife, Jenn), Kyle (and his wife, Kellie), and Trevor; and her grandchildren, Leighton (and his fiancée, Rachelle), Avery (and his wife, Katie), Jodi, Nicole, Victoria, Elijah, Shoshannah, Kristjan (and his fiancée, Ivanna), Emma, Katrina, Kenedie, Kalia, Elexis, and Ryker.
Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, her twins, Troy and Donna, and her brothers, John, Clifford, and Ralph.
